Review the lists below to see some of the reasons why CRESTOR may or may not be a good fit for some people, and then make an appointment with your doctor to find out if CRESTOR is right for you.
Do not take CRESTOR if you
- Are pregnant or think you may be pregnant, or are planning to become pregnant.
CRESTOR may harm your unborn baby. If you become pregnant while taking CRESTOR,
stop taking the medicine and call your doctor right away
- Are breast feeding. CRESTOR can pass into your breast milk and may harm your
baby
- Have previously had an allergic reaction to CRESTOR
- Currently have liver disease or liver problems
Tell your doctor about all medicines you take or plan to take, including prescription
and nonprescription medicines, vitamins, and herbal supplements. Some medicines
may interact with CRESTOR, causing side effects. It is particularly important to
tell your doctor if you are taking or plan to take medicines for
- Your immune system
- Cholesterol/triglycerides
- Blood thinning
- HIV/AIDS
- Preventing pregnancy
While you are taking CRESTOR, don’t start taking any of these medicines without
checking with your doctor first. If you aren’t sure if you’re taking any of these
medicines, be sure to ask your doctor or pharmacist.
